Busy Spring

It's been a busy spring of designing new jewelry and doing shows. Thanks to everyone who purchased jewelry at Jazz Fest and Bayou Bugaloo, you make these events great! Now as summer approaches it's time to work on all the less fun jewelry jobs, Taking photos, updating websites, cleaning the studio, but stay tuned. I'll still be working my way through a box of gemstones over the next few months and hopefully working on a few new techniques. See you at the studio!

New Work

New Work Available at the shop!

My arrival at Penland School of Crafts.

For two weeks this summer I will be taking a stone setting & clasp making class with David Butler at Pendland School of Crafts. The trip got off to a rocky start, but I'm here and it's wonderful! Stay tuned!

Session 4, Upper Metals, tha't me!

This happened on the ride up. Totally crappy, but it could of been so much worse!

I finally arrived on Saturday and it is glorious! This is Craft House, where I'll be staying during my session.

Cutest mini-dorm room cubicle ever!!!

The Metals studio where I will be spending most of my time.

The Pines, where I will be spending the rest of my time. I'm on a work-study scholarship, and like most work study students I will be doing dishes 11 times a week. It's worth it!

When one door closes...

Well, Alexis and I are closing the doors at 9th Street Studio. We had an awesome year, and soooo much fun. Alexis is moving to a larger gallery space @ Julia & Barrone, while I plot my next exciting move in the world of jewelry. Not to worry, even if you can't visit me at the studio, you may still shop for my work online and at shows.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this year so great!

Stay tuned for my next adventure!

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one, which has been opened for us.”

Hold the Gold!

Well, I have no gold to show for my plating efforts. My solution died, but no fear, more is on the way. I will be surrounded by plenty of 24 karat sparkle by next week!

I will hopefully have many golden jewels like this very soon!

On a completely different note, my very good friend and studio mate Alexis Walter will be moving to a bigger studio. She will be very missed, but she's doing awesome and needs some extra room to paint those beautiful, big paintings of hers. With that said I'm putting my feelers out for some new company here at the studio.

Any takers?
